iPhone · Screen Time
Read the Bible to unlock your apps.
Pick the apps that eat your evenings. ScriptureScroll holds them shut until you have spent your daily minutes in Scripture. Then they open, and your tree grows another day.
Coming soon to the App Store · iPhone, iOS 16 or later
Three steps, once.
Set it up in a couple of minutes and then forget it is there.
Choose what to lock
Apple's own Screen Time picker opens, so you can pick individual apps or whole categories — social, video, games. Your choices never leave your phone.
Set a daily goal
Five minutes, twenty, an hour — whatever you will actually keep. Change it whenever you like in Settings.
Read, and they open
Reach for a locked app and a shield appears instead. Read your minutes in ScriptureScroll and the shield lifts for the rest of the day.
A reason to come back tomorrow.
The habit is the point, so the app is built around keeping it rather than starting it.
A tree that grows with you
Every day you finish adds to it. Miss too many and it withers — the same way a habit does. Watching it fill out is a better nudge than a number.
A passage chosen for you
Open the app and something is already waiting, so no morning starts with deciding where to read. Or open the full Bible and go wherever you like.
Four translations
King James, World English Bible, Bible in Basic English, and the Clementine Vulgate. Switch whenever you want.
Verses worth keeping
Save the lines that land. They stay in one place, on your phone, ready for the next time you need them.
One gentle reminder
A single daily notification at a time you choose, scheduled on your device. Turn it off and nothing else will chase you.
Light and dark
Warm ivory by day, warm near-black at night. It follows your iPhone or you can pin it.
What it looks like.
Quiet on purpose. Nothing in here is trying to keep you scrolling.
Your reading is nobody's business.
ScriptureScroll has no accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics. There is nowhere for us to look, because none of it is sent anywhere.
It stays on your phone
Your name, your goal, your streak, your saved verses and which apps you chose to block are stored on the device and nowhere else.
We cannot see your apps
iOS hands the app opaque tokens instead of app names. Even on your own phone, ScriptureScroll never learns what you picked.
Nothing is sold or tracked
No advertising, no third-party analytics, no profiles. Delete the app and every trace of your reading goes with it.
Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.James 4:8
Free to try, then a subscription.
ScriptureScroll is a paid app. New members start with a free trial; if you keep it, it renews as a subscription until you cancel.
- The current price and trial length are shown in the app before you are asked to confirm, in your own currency.
- Payment is taken by Apple through your App Store account. We never see your card.
- You will get a notification two days before the trial ends, so the first charge is never a surprise.
- Cancel any time from Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancelling during the trial costs nothing.
